SOS call for interstate workers amid boom

Media outlets have picked up on the fact that Wormall Civil has been advertising for skilled machine operators since July 31 in South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland as we struggle to fill these positions from within WA.

They have also been keen to understand the impacts of both the Federal and State Governments stimulus grants on the civil construction industry and our clients in the land development sector.

Whist we are facing significant challenges in meeting the demands placed on our company by the stimulus, we gratefully acknowledge and thank both levels of government for providing our industry with the support we need to maintain our ongoing viability as a major player in the WA civil construction sector.

It has also given us the confidence to maintain and even increase our staffing levels to ensure we safely deliver our clients’ projects in accord with the stimulus grants deadlines.
