HSE Wrap!
2023 has seen a strong year in the WHSEQ Department with the achievement of set goals and the excitement of growth and development within the team.
We saw new team members come on board and existing team members promoted. Even more exciting for the department (and company), we saw a general downward trend for incidents across the board, highlighting our focus on safety and our mission to keep our workers safe.
2023 has also seen the introduction of the monthly Safety Champion award, where we recognise employees nominated by their peers for their positive work towards Wormall Civil’s safety culture.
Diwash Dahal, our September awardee, was praised for his unwavering focus on teammates’ safety and proactive approach. In October, Jamie Griffith emerged as the Safety Champion, earning accolades for going above and beyond, ensuring work halts until it is safe to continue. A massive congratulations to these outstanding Individuals!
Congratulations to Nicholas Welsh for being announced as our November Safety Champion. Nicholas received multiple nominations through the month and knowing his focus on safety, it was great to be able to see him be rewarded for his effort.
The nominations from our teams highlight a commitment to a safer workplace. We are thrilled to recognize these outstanding individuals! Stay tuned for more safety excellence in our upcoming Safety Champion Month Awards.
As we head into the Christmas break, we get ready for 2024 – targets have reset and are sharper but we are ready for the challenge and look forward to doing everything we can to make sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
