Description

Civil sub-division works located in the upper swan area of Perth, site is designed as clay substrate layer presenting its own challenged especially during the winter months. Project encompasses intricate sewer and drainage design with the drainage allowing for lot connection pits to all future residences.

Main scope as follows:

  • Clearing
  • BEW cut to fill of insitu clay to achieve substrate design levels
  • Import and placement of clean fill
  • Installation of all undergrounds
  • Civils works
  • Retaining walls including all feature fencing (all walls constructed on concrete cantilever footings)

Description

Wormall Civil started the Bulk Earthworks for Stage 1 in February 2020, this work followed through to the civil works starting with practical completion awarded in November 2020.

December 2020 saw the bulk earthworks starting in Stage 2, with the civil works starting the following February. Successful practical completion was achieved for this Stage in October 2021.

With works being carried out in Stage 2, the project team also started the upgrades to both Apple Street and Orange Avenue in early 2021 (these works are currently ongoing with practical completion planned for later this year).

As well as the upgrade works to these roads, Wormall Civil were also contracted to install a section of pressure main for the Water Corporation as part of the new sewer infrastructure from Bullsbrook to Ellenbrook.

Summer 2021- 2022 will continue to be busy on the project with the bulk earthworks to Stage 6, 7 & 8 as well as the civil works to Stage 3 & 6 planned to start with practical completion expected in early 2022.

Description

Stage 1 of a new development by Satterley Property Group in the Swan Valley. Initial works onsite involved removal of existing vines that had being farmed on the land for a number of years.

During the project life cycle communication was kept with stakeholders ensuring project was delivered with minimum disruption to local residents as well the project being completed within the allocated timeframe allowing lots to be released for sale.

Scope of Works Involved:

  • Clearing of Existing Vines and vegetation.
  • Construction of 1.5km of Retaining Walls.
  • Installation of under service to Water Corp standards which include 1.8km of Sewerage & 2.1km of Water Reticulation.
  • Installation of 1.2km of Stormwater Drainage to local authority standards.
  • Installation and underground power and communication services.
  • Road Construction including installation of Kerbing and Footpaths.
