Davis Road Waste Facility

This project included construction of a new poly lined effluent pond & a new waste Cell 3. Cut to fill earthwork were carried out in an old gravel pit immediately adjacent to the existing waste facility to construct the leachate pond.

Once the pond was plastic lined and signed off by the regulator, effluent from Councils existing ponds could be transferred, allowing de-sludging of the existing clay ponds and construction of a geo-clay lined new cell  who’s footprint incorporated the previous redundant effluent ponds.

Work was completed over 2 summer construction periods.
