WA Premier Mark McGowan visits Forrestdale Business Park for progress

The State Government announced on 21 February, 2019 a $7.5 million expansion for the Forrestdale Business Park, with funding allowing a further 140 hectares of industrial land to be developed.

However on 9 May, 2019 it was announced that the 2019-20 State Budget would include a major increase in funding for roads and job-creating infrastructure across WA – and this included an additional $19.5 million for the Forrestdale Business Park.

Located within the City of Armadale precinct, the site is currently being developed as part of a jobs boost initiative being implemented by the State Government, and Wormall Civil has been contracted for site works.

WA Premier Mark McGowan visited the site in early March 2019 to inspect current works undertaken, where he took the opportunity to get updates directly from Wormall Civil employees working on the ground.

In his most recent comments regarding the 2019-20 State Budget, Mr McGowan said the WA economy was continuing to grow as new jobs were created despite global and national pressures.

“The State Budget has a big focus on growing the economy and creating jobs across a range of industries,” he said.

“Thanks to our disciplined and responsible financial management, we can invest in job-creating projects across the state and continue working hard to get Western Australia back on track.”
