In March earlier this year, Wormall Civil was awarded two civil works contracts as part of the Transform Peel Initiative works for Peel Business Park in Nambeelup.
Minister for Lands Ben Wyatt announced on 7 March, 2019 that Wormall Civil won the $7.3 million contracts for completing earthworks and installing underground power works.
Now Wormall Civil has successfully been awarded a third contract for civil works pertaining to Peel Business Park for the installation of all major services, and is the biggest contract, totalling $14 million, for the locally based civil works company.
When completed, Peel Business Park will create about 2000 local jobs and inject about $1 billion into the Western Australian economy each year. During the construction phase, the works are expected to create about 300 local jobs with a further 160 permanent operational workforce jobs once LandCorp’s first stage development area is fully operational.
Peel Business Park is on track to become the new home of agri-innovation and industry in Western Australia, and a catalyst for creating major economic opportunities for the region.
